Congratulations
Billy Patterson - 2010 Hole-In-One!!!
Two seasons ago,
Billy Patterson played regularly in our Geezer's
League, before returning to Sun City, Arizona.
He was one of our stalwart, low-handicap, "A"
players. We always knew that he was a good
golfer, with an affable smile for everyone.
But, we didn't know he could "pick-a, pick-a,
pick-a good timing," as the oldie's song goes.
If you're going to ace a Par-3, why not do it
when a new truck's on the line?
And here Billy
probably thought his recent 18-hole round at the
Pebble Beach Golf Course would be the highlight
of his golfing season. He certainly found a
nifty way to top that pleasure.

Colorado
Open Qualifier at Springs Ranch Golf
Club - July 07, 2010
The Colorado Open Championship has long
been recognized as one of the best (if
not THE best) state opens in the
country. There are many ingredients that
contribute to an events’ success. But
three of the most important are great
players, a great purse and great venues.
Over its 40-year history the Colorado
Open has enjoyed an abundance of all
three.
Springs
Ranch Golf Club was one of four Colorado
golf courses to host a Qualifier for the
Colorado Open Golf Tournament.
Eight-four players participated at
Springs Ranch Golf Club, scores ranged
from -6 to +11. The Colorado Open
is being held at Green Valley Ranch-
Denver, CO, July 22-25, 2010.

DAVID BITTON of THE GAZETTE took the picture
below on January 24, 2007. The picture
appeared in the Metro Section of THE GAZETTE
Newspaper on January 25, 2007.
Sook Kim, left, and Patti Han returned their
drivers to their golf bags Wednesday after
taking shots from the 15th tee at Springs Ranch
Golf Club. Kim, Han and two friends drove to the
Springs from Denver to play a round at the
only course they could find that was open.
Higher temperatures have helped some of the
remaining snow melt, and the group was able to
navigate the course avoiding most of it. Some
cart paths were wet. |
